“3 Holiday outfits, one metallic gold skirt “

“3 Holiday outfits, one metallic gold skirt “

Ahem. In my best singing voice, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!!” I hope you guys could feel the passion in my voice!! But the song rings true, this truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Whatever holiday you celebrate this is a time to be with family, a chance to reflect on your year and future goals, and most importantly give back to your community and encourage and serve your neighbors or one another. It’s a magical time where everyone is giddy with excitement of the anticipation to decorate your house, find the perfect gift for that special someone, and best of all the multitude of holiday parties! For my ensemble this holiday season, I decided to go the non-traditional route of red and green and play around with gold.

I found this beautiful long metallic gold pleated skirt from francescas for $44 dollars.  I love gold jewelry, gold accents, gold anything. It is such a rich and luxurious color and perfect for the holiday season. This skirt can easily be worn for a New Year’s occasion as well. The length, pleats, and metallic gold color of this skirt add elegance to your entire outfit no matter what piece you add to it.   With this skirt and clothing, I already own in my wardrobe, I will give you 3-holiday party outfits. You can easily replicate the outfits below for any party.

This is the time of year where you can be extravagant and extra with your holiday ensemble!! Give it a little glitz and glam for the win!! However, this time of year can get a little bit expensive and the last thing you want to do is go into the New Year broke.

Style tip: So If you are on a budget (like I am) focus on purchasing one piece that has seasonal colors and textures for example red, sequins, glitter, etc and combine an  item you already own in your closet and voila. Instant holiday outfit. Not only will you save money, but this is a great time to shop your closet!!I love remixing pieces, which you have noticed throughout my blog and Christmas time is no exception. So let’s make like a reindeer and dash to the outfits!! (I know it’s corny, but hopefully, I made you laugh)

  1. Add a leather jacket and heeled booties for an edgy, but chic look for any Christmas or holiday party. The gold accents balance the edginess of the faux leather jacket and still makes the outfit feel elegant.  For all the outfits I added this gold and glitter clutch. Nothing says festive than glitter.

2. Wear a blazer with the metallic gold skirt for a more structured and tailored look. This outfit would be perfect for a more formal occasion or office party at work. I added a pop of color by choosing this beautiful green color tank top with flecks of gold throughout it and added a chunky chain link necklace for added glam. I changed the heels to these classic black pumps, which also has gold accents and detail.

3. Style metallic gold skirt with a beautiful burgundy or red tank. Nothing says Christmas spirit like red. I chose my favorite burgundy strappy heels to match the tank top and this color combination is a beautiful pair together. Simple, chic, yet very elegant.
