I was inspired to do this look while flipping through the pages of “People Style Watch” (Fall issue). One of the outfits that caught my attention was in a spread using a feminine piece (pink dress) with a leather jacket to add edge. The title of this look was called “Pretty Edgy”. Instantly an outfit began to form in my mind of pieces I already own in my closet!! So I have been loving the blush pink/mauve tones lately and a couple of weeks before I had come across this spread I saw this darling blush pink dress in H&M. Of course, the color immediately drew me in, but the ruffle detailing on the collar was something l I appreciated and made the dress feel delicate and elegant. 5 minutes later it was in my bag. I am normally not a pink person at all, but I find that blush pink or pinks with brown undertones in them look beautiful against my brown and dark skin sisters.

Pink is synonymous in our society with characteristics such as pretty, feminine, girly, and dainty. But, when paired with a leather jacket, this instantly toughens up the outfit and adds danger!! Can you keep a secret? This jacket is not even real leather! But it looks and feels like the real thing. Ladies, we all have that alter ego and leather anything will break out that edgy rocker side of you!!

I paired the look with these heeled booties. The booties are made up of two textures on the front it is made up of a faux suede material and the back is made up of a leather material, which compliments the edginess of this outfit. I added a silver studded snake print clutch to add and tie in the rocker look. You could wear the coat or throw it over your shoulders for that posh/sophisticated feel. This would be a great outfit to wear to a concert, date night, or ladies night. So give this look a try I dare you. Walk on the wild side for a change!! You might like it!
