Hi, guys!! I hope everyone is doing well. I mentioned in a previous blog post that I don't like to do trends. Part of the reason is they do not last very long and everyone is wearing the same thing!! But with this particular blouse, it fits in perfectly with my classic style and can be added to your wardrobe and worn for years to come!! It is the pussy-bow blouse!!. They can also be called neck-tie blouses as well, but the style is very similar. There is no mystery why this blouse is hitting the streets everywhere! It is simple in design and has a classic element: the bow!! It is considered the working woman's equivalent to a men's neck tie. Outfit Details: Pussy-bow blouse: similar Black...

"Walking in a winter Wonderland" Well not exactly here in Houston, but I am sure in other parts of the world!! Ready to attack and kick start 2017 with a vengeance!!. You guys have heard that saying "Winter Whites?" Well, I am here to tell you, you can absolutely wear white during the winter and after LaborDay!! No rules apply to fashion or style!! Dress how you wanna dress!! I decided to do this post because I have heard so many women refer to the rule mentioned above and say they can't wear white or they don't want to wear white because it gets dirty easily, which is true, but that should not stop you from having fun with it!!! So in this post, I...

Hi, Lades!!  So, I was sitting on my couch scrolling through my Instagram feed, when my eyes locked on this beautiful RAW handbag, on @nakitende_ester page (Instagram name). I literally said out loud, "This bag is dope". I was drawn to the bold face, big hair, and earrings on the bag and immediately was able to identify myself in this image. Of course, I clicked on the tag and was acquainted with the RAW handbags site. I was thrilled to find out this was a black-owned company, as you guys know, I love to support them and small owned businesses.  So when I find an awesome find I am willing to share with you guys!! And I did!!!! Outfit Details: h&m black sweater(old): similar ASOS OTK boots: similar Foxy Clutch Charnae Stanley...

Hey, guys!! Welcome back to My Mayne Wardrobe!! It is officially winter!! Not my favorite season at all when I was living in Maryland, but because we are living in Houston now, I don't have to worry about ice, below freezing temperatures, or blizzards!! I get to enjoy a nice mild winter and I am ok with that. (Sorry rest of the world!!) However, it still gets pretty chilly down here and that means pulling out all the sweatshirts!! Not sweaters sweatshirts!! Sweatshirts get a bad rap. We think of them(or at one time I did) as grimy, disheveled, unflattering, and the only time you can wear them is for lounging and around the house. I honestly had a difficult time figuring out how to wear...

Ahem. In my best singing voice, "It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!!" I hope you guys could feel the passion in my voice!! But the song rings true, this truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Whatever holiday you celebrate this is a time to be with family, a chance to reflect on your year and future goals, and most importantly give back to your community and encourage and serve your neighbors or one another. It's a magical time where everyone is giddy with excitement of the anticipation to decorate your house, find the perfect gift for that special someone, and best of all the multitude of holiday parties! For my ensemble this holiday season, I decided to go the non-traditional route...

Let's face it. We all have a plaid shirt or some people call them flannel lying around our house somewhere. Some days you don't want to dress to the nines or slay!! You just want a comfortable, easy, casual look for the day. You can't get any more comfortable than a plaid shirt.Which makes them an essential piece to incorporate into your wardrobe. What makes them so great is their functionality!! They are easy to throw on when you are pressed for time and did I mention they are extremely comfortable, versatile, and hide the extra pounds we may have packed on this holiday season!!! Although they are the ultimate lounge apparel, they can be easily dressed up as well!! A plaid shirt should not be...

Hi, guys. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I wanted to share with you one of my go to pieces for the fall and winter months. It is this gorgeous tribal print cardigan, that I got from ASOS 2 years ago. You guys may or may not know, my style can be described using the 3 c's: Classic, Comfortable, and Chic. When it comes to comfortable nothing compares than a cozy cardigan. I am not a big fan of the traditional cardigans that are thinner and mostly worn in office buildings. I prefer cardigans that have a great print and are thick like a sweater, like the one pictured above. This will be a great addition to your fall and winter wardrobe!       In the fall and winter...

I was inspired to do this look while flipping through the pages of "People Style Watch" (Fall issue). One of the outfits that caught my attention was in a spread using a feminine piece (pink dress) with a leather jacket to add edge. The title of this look was called "Pretty Edgy". Instantly an outfit began to form in my mind of pieces I already own in my closet!! So I have been loving the blush pink/mauve tones lately and a couple of weeks before I had come across this spread I saw this darling blush pink dress in H&M. Of course, the color immediately drew me in, but the ruffle detailing on the collar was something l I appreciated and made the dress feel...
